Fresh Water Holding Tank tubes/pipes leak

Hello,

When I attempted to fill the Fresh Water Tank, there was a huge leak from the tubes/pipes underneath!

...Note that this is the first time I had attempted to use this system since a big hard freeze back in Feb 2021.

What kind of "parts" am I looking at to replace?

Pretty hard to say what all you'll need without knowing what all was broken. Could be the water lines, connections, valves, hoses, etc.

Thanks, well, that helps some to know what I might have to expect.
Since I live in my RV, I really don't want to have to take it all the way to the dealer and drop it off in order to get this estimate.
I wonder if they have parts like this at the shop, or if they'll have to order them?

Have you verified the dump valve is closed?

Most of the parts I'm familiar with are available at almost any hardware store. Usually a mixture of PEX, or PVC pipe, or ABS pipe. Pretty generic stuff. Just depends on what and where the leak is. A lot of what you can fix yourself depends on your level of Mr. Fixit, and tool selection.

Yes, even with the dump valve closed, it was leaking from there also!

Unfortunately, I'm not much of a "Mr Fixit".
But it's good to know the Dealer/Repair Shop shouldn't have trouble getting the parts!
...It's the "waiting" to get my RV back that is the problem because I have to find a temporary place to stay in the meantime.

Have you checked with a mobile RV repair person? They will come to you and they are usually cheaper than a dealer. A good one shouldn't have much trouble with your issue.

Yes, I was able to find a Mobile Repair person -- thanks for that tip! I also have Protective XtraRide extended warranty, that will cover it minus my $100 deductible should that be the case. However, they'll jut come out for the "estimate" first, which is 3 weeks away, but not really a big deal since I'm not dry camping now.

However, the person who took my phone call asked if my problem might be with the City Water inlet check valve or Water Pump check valve. ...Of course I said I don't know, nor do I even know what those things are to check myself ...Anybody any thoughts on that?

It sounds as though you don't have a leak until you attempt to fill the fresh water tank, is that right? So if you run City Water settings, you have no leak?
