Recessed LED Puck Lights
Over the last 3 years in my 337RLS I've replaced all the recessed lights in my bedroom as well as the one in the bathroom. Now, the first one I replaced in the bedroom is turning into a strobe again, which they do shortly before dying completely. I've put foil over it to make the room livable until I feel like wiring in another one.
That said, this is getting old. I shouldn't have to do wiring work every time I change a stinking light bulb. Is there a better option that could work as a replacement? I'd love a screw in / screw out bulb or something that pulls out of a light socket.2018 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS

I don't have a GD yet (it's on order), but in my Newmar, the puck light bulbs just unplug. Is that not the case with your bulbs?

Current (last 5yrs) LED fixtures are pretty fixed, whole units that should last far longer than a few years. Check your source and specifications. A 25,000 hour rating is 3 years 24/7! That's maybe 10 years for a full timer but more like 15-20.
Keep the receipt and check the warranty!Rick

When you replaced the lights, what did you replace them with - the same OEM units from GD? There have been numerous posts about those lights and their tendency to fail in the manner you describe. I finally went ahead and replace all the puck lights in our unit with these:

We've had very good results from them with zero failures in 21 months. (Though they were quite a bit less expensive 18 months ago!)

No - as @RickLight alluded to, the puck lights in the GD RVs are all-in-one recessed puck lights with boards of LEDs permanently affixed in the housing.

Strobing is a common failure pattern for LED fixtures, regardless of brand. Mine are all fine!
I suspect some manufacturers engineers did understand the "earthquake every mile" factor.Rick
