    NORCOLD Refrigerator Condensation

We noticed water on the floor around the bottom of the refrigerator, I went out and pulled the bottom vent/ cover off and found that the catch basin for the condensation drain tube was over flowing and making it’s way inside.

I had to pull the drain tube through the bottom vent so it would drain outside to keep this from happening.

What would cause this to start happening?

Excess condensation inside the refrigerator is most often caused by a door alignment/seal issue. You can search YouTube for "dollar bill test" to see how to check the seals to make sure outside air is not making it inside the fridge.

I would suggest leaving the drain line to drain outside, but adding a one-way valve in the drain line to allow water out and to stop warm air from entering the fridge. They are really cheap on Amazon. Check the size, but this is the idea...
