    Furnace not producing heat

Hey all! First post, so be patient. 🤪

I woke up this morning to a loud boom noise in my 2016 Grand Design Solitude 384GK, followed by the discovery that my heat is not working. It was fine up until sometime in the middle of last night when it quit (Happy Thanksgiving morning to me!).

It still turns on, (blows cold air), but after less than a minute it turns off. The stove is still working, and the gas hot water heater is still working, and the tanks are full.

I have no idea what happened. Anyone experience anything like this? I live in the RV full time, so I need to find a solution ASAP.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help!

First thought, check the breaker and fuses.

Sounds like a backfire. Open outside access to investigate but I suggest getting forced air space heater in the underbelly access or winterizing the water system until you can get a pro to diagnose and fix.

Did you uncover the source of the BOOM? That would be a concern, what with the furnace not working. Do other propane sources work? Like stove, oven, water heater, etc.

Yup, hot water heater and stove are good to go.

I have not found the boom source - I don't have wifi at the site yet, so I couldn't Google it and didn't want to move into unfamiliar territory until I could jump on here and see if anyone had experienced anything like this before.

Pull the outside cover because it sounds like you have a combustion/ignition problem. You said the fan on the furnace runs and blows cold air so that's a plus... there's a sail switch in the system that has to close to allow the gas solenoid to open. It's possible that switch has failed. If you can hear the solenoid clicking closed then check the output voltage on the furnaces terminal board at the terminal that the spark ignitor is wired to. If you have no voltage on that output it's a bad terminal board. If you do have voltage on that point but the ignitor isn't firing then it's a bad ignitor. Hope this helps!

Sometimes turning off the thermostat to off and then back to on will restart things.

So...new development. Went up to my RV, got everything opened up, flipped the on/off switch that's actually located on the united self (not the thermostat), and the propane lit and it's running again.

What kind of heater is this, can someone tell me? Been Googling it but can't find the name brand.
