    29 RS Sofa Hide-A-Bed

The foot of the bed is higher than the head with our 2015 Reflection. I suppose you could sleep with your head towards the island and your feet against the wall. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just having a ****-a** attack?

Unless they changed it the legs can be mounted in a second set of holes and make it more level. I'm guessing that it was set for the base being a little higher if it were in a slideout.

I'm surprised GD is still building this way . . . this has been an issue for over a year.
In my case I had to cut the legs to get enough adjustment to get to level.

I can cut the legs of but they have mangled them buy tightening the bolts too much. It can be done but it shouldn't be necessary as this is not a new problem with Grand Design. I wonder why they haven't improved the sofa?

If the legs are too mangled to take part and adjust, I would look to your dealer, or GD directly if need be, for a replacement set that you can adjust to fit correctly.

Thanks Rob, I will call them. I don't think I can pull them apart. I would probably need to cut the section out that the bolt is through.

I ended up removing the bolts and then sliding the legs up by hand and then finally sitting on them. The had bolts compressed the metal a bit.

GD doesn't make the sofa's and after seeing the production line, that is not something they or any other mfg. would take the time to address as it would severely slow down the line. I look at it like it's just one of those tweaks that me as an owner would take care of cause if I do it I know it will be done right.

The stitching on the sofa and one recliner was not correct and it is loose. I think it will create a problem about the time the warranty expires. David Hiliker from Grand Design has proposed new covering for the furniture. This may solve that problem but it doesn't solve the issue of the sofa being un-level. He has proposed building a platform to raise the sofa. This is not acceptable to me. I don't think it will eliminate the problem and why should I accept this type of a cobble fix to a new RV? My dealer is working with GD but they are not willing to step up and find a real solution to the problem.

Why would you want to go to the trouble to build a platform when all you have to do I adjust the legs??
