TST TPMS 507 repeater location.
Hello everyone
I just purchased the TST TPMS 507 that requires the installation of a repeater. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on where I should install the repeater? It calls for DC power. They suggest as far from the tow vehicle as possible, so directly to the battery is out. Also I am concerned on constant draw on the battery when not in use.
Thanks

I installed the repeater under the truck frame near the rear bumper using 12v from my 7 pin connection. I have enough connected to the trailer battery terminals (i.e. factory installed pwr/grd cables, deltran pwr/grd cables, and 4 point auto level pwr /grd cables). Plus, wanted to ensure I could use it for my other trailers (boat, car hauler, etc..) when towing them as well. Just need to purchase more sender caps for each. The TST507 allows for multiple setups.

If I needed a repeater for my TPMS (needed one on my last trailer), I would put it in the front compartment, then put a switch on the power supply to it. I have an existing switch for the front light next to the compartment door, and would put the power switch just under it, so I have access without opening the door.
