wrong place to run off road

Headed to beechfork state park in WV. Very narrow, curvy road. oncoming vehicle close to centerline I moved over too far, no shoulder on road, camper went into ditch, there was a set of concrete steps with a pad at the bottom of steps, broke both axles off on that side
towing company had to use 2 wreckers to raise camper off ground so they could tow it. This happened fri. afternoon before thanksgiving. waiting on insurance to determine if camper is repairable.
To make the situation more complicated we live in FL. Had to rent a uhaul to get all the stuff in trailer home, we bought trailer in oct. used it 6 nights. Imagine 2600 RB was by far our most comfortable camper.

Unfortunate circumstance for sure.. Any accident you walk away from is always a plus! Hope the final outcome works out for you in the best way possible. Good luck.

That is sad. Good that nobody was hurt. Best of luck with the repairs or replacement.

Oh my goodness ! So sorry to hear about this. Glad no one was injured. Right on that stuff can be replaced and things most often work out just fine.

Did the other driver stop at least to see if you folks were ok? Glad everyone was ok. I hate it when people take their half out of the middle.

Wow..6 nights out of a trailer. Good thing nobody hurt.
If it were me, I'd be hoping they write it off. With the axles ripped off I would be thinking the frame is going to be tweaked?

the frame is what concerns us. We are hoping they total it.
We are still waiting for insurance to make a decision, don't know why it takes so long.
