    Our sales rep told us three years ago when we bought, to support the edge of the slide if you sit on the couch/lounger when the unit is turtled and you stop for a break. All the supports are designed to work when the slide is extended.
    If you want to use the seating with slide in, I like the use of rubber support pads.

    Just don't leave them under the edge of the slideout while traveling unless the are securely taped down to the floor... or the will still move and make rub marks.

    The ones i have are very secured. You need to lift the platform slightly to get them under and stay in place.

    Yes, it is fine to use this under the slide.
