making adjustments to a Reese hitch for a new TV
I recently got a 2022 Ford 350 to pull my 297 RSTS for awhile. The trailer is not setting as level with the new truck compared to the other. I also had no sag with the old truck and the rear of this truck sags 2 in. . I towed the trailer with the new truck and the old setup. It is not bad but sometimes seemed a little squirrely in the front. I tried 2 different chain links on the hitch and the 2 inch sag did not change. What should I do ? Should I just put Sumo's or Timbrens on the rear of truck to eliminate the sag. We are leaving in three weeks to head South and need a quick but safe solution.

Start with leveling your trailer using your hitch, adjusting the hitch up or down to get the trailer level. Then look at your squat at that point.
I used Timbrens to adjust the very little squat I had. It was a good choice for me.
Congratulations on the new F350, enjoy the journey!Last edited by RoJoSo; 12-06-2021 at 06:33 PM.

An F350 pulling a trailer with a properly set up WDH should not sag in back. Sounds like the WDH needs to some serious adjustments.
Maybe the OP can post pictures so members could make suggestions.

First thing to do is download the setup instructions for your Reese WDH and understand how to adjust it. With my Reese Straightline hitch I set the ball height per the instructions then I adjust the tension on the bars to bring the front fender height back to unloaded. Check level and tweak ball height to level the trailer or make it slightly nose down. My Ram 3500 does go down 1.25" at the rear fenders as compared to unloaded height with front fender height back to unloaded. Takes a bit of fine tuning to get it setup properly.

Thanks's MtnGuy I did not expect it either. My Chevy 2500 hardly moved at all when the trailer sat on the ball.

Thanks Calbar I will have to take another look at this and see what I"m missing. I did not expect the two trucks to be that much different in height. May have to wait a couple days on the weather. I know the fender wells should come back to about 1/2 in. of unloaded height. I don't know if a 1.5 in. swing is possible.
