303RLS and others with a pantry
I want to add lighting along the inside from top to bottom attached to the motion light or however.....who has done this and how?
I've thought, googled and have not come up with a viable solution.
Help please.
Thanks

Ray, the first mod I did to our new 295RL was to add lighting to the pantry. I found the mod on another forum and it proved to be easy to do. I used some led strip lighting found on Amazon and tied it into the existing motion actuated light in the pantry so all lights come on at the same time. The led strip had a peel and stick backing so I just stuck it to the inside of the door frame so the light shinned on all of the shelves. The Amazon listing also showed some wiring accessories for the strip lighting so I bought some Tees with plugs so I didn't have to make actual splices in the strips. I still have some of the roll of lights so next time I'm out at the trailer, I will try and get a better description of the lights I used. I believe the color of the light I used was "warm white" and really made a lot of light on the pantry shelves. Wife very happy too!John and Karyn

So far, Mark is the only one that is posting (or reading) this forum... If Mary (the wife) ever did, Mark would be banished forever from reading the forum since this is where he gets most (if not all) of his modification ideas from... Like the Sumo springs on the camper and the truck!

Ok, i looked at your previous post, I am pretty good in figuring things out but without having parts in hand...in reading it, let me try to understand a couple things....i take it the lights won't come on autimatically when connected to the dome light, hence the switch?
You said AC plug, the light strip has a "male" plug on it? You route a wire thru the "switch" to the dome light?
Sorry for the questions.....i can build you a Cessna business jet, race car, even a military fighter jet....sometimes, peoples terminology confuses me.Msgt Ray (Ret) and Margie Parker

No problem! The strip LEDs are 12vdc. They had a wall adapter that you plugged into them to power them (converting from 110vac to 12vdc). I just cut the 5.1mm jack off, and wired it directly to the power source for the light at the top of the pantry. The light at the top of the pantry is one of those push button POS. So, if absolutely necessary, we can turn on that light. The door switch just made it simple. No thinking about trying to turn it on, especially since turning it on means reaching up to the ceiling of the pantry. I'm a "lazy" engineer... [emoji16]
