I would advise against buying it if you feel that strongly about it.

$144K is MSRP for most likely a 42' like 380FL and not entry level. When is the last time you got a real quote for a 2022 New Horizons? I'm sure they have had the same number of price increases over the past 12 months as GD.

Just went to GD website and "rebuilt" our model (378MBS-R) with all the options we have and then added full body paint to see how it might compare with New Horizon - MSRP $157,865!!
Yikers.
About a month ago, while at the dealer for some warranty service, a couple of guys were walking through the lot and stopped at our rig. The service manager and I were standing near it shooting the breeze while
a tech touched up some interior trim. One of the guys asked if he could poke his head in the door and I said, "sure". He came out and asked the service manager and me if it was for sale. I said, "no, just in for some service". The guy then asked how much our rig might sell for. The service manager told him that a good price on it, used, would be $105-110K. I looked at the service manager like he was crazy. He said if we wanted to sell it, the dealership would pay us $105K that day. I kinda laughed it off but on the drive home, there were several 'maybe I should turn around' moments....2022 Solitude 378MBS-R

MSRP for our 2021 Solitude S-Class 3550BH was $82k. 2022s are $109k. That 27k or 33% price increase would have kept us from buying. We bought when the 2022s were coming out. We were quoted a higher out the door price for a 2022 Reflection 367BHS than the 2021 Solitude we bought. Strange times...

Funny how one of these springs up every year about now... OP, unfortunately your proclamation is incorrect. Look into NH pricing right now, which has increased multiple times through the pandemic. I actually do know the pricing as we have been engaging several of the direct-to-consumer builders, and their sales folks are like clockwork every 3 mos.
GD is simply an MSRP. Their actual customer is the dealer. The dealer is not paying anything near MSRP. Now what the dealer retails it for is totally up to them, and the dealers are taking full advantage of the surge demand. Before COVID-19, 30% under MSRP was the common average for retail. With NH, the price you are quoted is the price, but my last conversation was that they were considering changing terms to include market adjustment due to product and material price increases during the build queue.Rob & Nikki + Cloverfield

Do to unexpected plan changes we are actually selling our 2021 front living room 380 grand design. We've added a 6.5kw propane generator, king sigh sleep number bed, 38" TV in the bedroom and a handful of other things to it. And all we're asking is $89,000 for it
