Oven/Stove only lights after turning on the heater

    Hello,

My oven/stove mostly only lights if I run the heater for a minute first.
I suppose this is telling me that the propane line needs kick-starting..?
If so, then what might be the problem causing this?

Are you purging air first at the range? If not, that is what your furnace is doing. If you are, I would then check all connections for a leak with a soapy water solution.

I've had this RV for almost 2 years, and it has been working fine up until just recently.
Purging air from the stove itself no longer works consistently.

So are you saying that the stove can work even if there's a leak?
If so, then why wouldn't the air escape instead of being trapped?

Small leaks can draw in air with the flowing propane and change your air-fuel ratio making lighting harder. I figured you would respond one way or other to incite additional troubleshooting, but once lit if you have yellow flame tips it's a good indicator. There are a lot of things it could be so eliminating the easy ones first. For instance, same tank of propane whole time? If so, swap to another.

Yeah, there are a few other issues too, so I'm actually taking it in for some maintenance relatively soon -- I just wanted to speak somewhat intelligently about this when I do -- so thanks!
