Atwood refrigerator failure
In my business I have to be proactive in everything i do. What should i do to insure a happy experience camping with regards to refrigerator failure. I would rather spend$$$ now to fix a problem and even fore go warranty ,than be two hundred miles from dealer and no time to fix? Atwood should do a recall!!! What do I need to change so I don't have a failure ????

Dirtclod, had our 337rls 2 weeks tomorrow and Atwood fridge can't keep my food colder than 58. We have a guy calling Atwood in the morning. I hope this thing gets fixed. We can't afford to throw out any more food!

My son just bought a new camping trailer with a Norcold reefer. It wouldn't cool on gas while dry camping. I had to run my generator 24/7 so his food wouldn't spoil. When we read the fine print on the owner's manual, it said above 5500 feet, it would not work on gas. We were at 7000 feet. I wonder if the Norcold reefer that GD is installing has the same limitation?

That's really interesting Jim. I wonder if it's a model specific limitation. We were using my buddy's TT for the last 2 weeks, with a Norcold refer, and it worked fine on gas in the Rockies, The Black Hills, as well as other places.

I contacted my son, and his model Norcold is a N811. There are lots of models out there, so hopefully it doesn't affect the GD units when camped above 5500 feet.
