That's not correct. The propane detector is shut off on my 349M with the factory battery disconnect switch. The levelers are hard wired because they draw a ton of current, not because they have to be on by law.

And the smoke detectors in my unit operate on batteries.

And the levelers will not draw any current unless they are being used. So they aren't a parasitic draw.

Umm ... I meant they are hard wired because they draw a ton of current that would have to go through the cutoff switch, not because they're required by law.

The hydraulic pump draws between 40-80A in operation and, as you point out, 0A when not being used.

    Was that not clear?

Perfectly clear. I was commenting to inform others who may not be aware that the levelers are not drawing any amperage when idle. So they can be connected directly to the battery. Just making sure people are aware they are not one of the parasitic draws.

This patristic draw is when the battery disconnect is on, powered. I disconnected the negative put the leads on the negative battery terminal and the other on the negative leads and my meter is reading a 3 amp draw. Went in and pulled fuses. When I pulled the monitor panel fuse the draw went down to 0.2 amps. Not having schematics I have no idea what could case this from the monitor panel.

Understood. I personally wouldn't call that a parasitic draw since the monitor panel and whatever else is on that 12V circuit is powered up.
To me, leaving the battery isolation switch on is kind of like leaving the key in your car on the accessory position.
