    Reattaching trim

Hi was wondering what size staples length and width, is the size used on the trim? Vertical trim on slides! Or other methods people have used to reattach loose trim. Thanks Mike

I've used silicone, glue, double sided tape. The factory uses pin nails with too much air pressure & they push thru the trim pieces.
If it will be hidden I use staples-think shelves etc,-3/4" narrow crown.
    Trim pieces, I use 18 gauge nails &/or silicone/glue.

I'm a fan of construction adhesive (like Liquid Nails) for these situations.

I used some two sided tape because I had it. The tape was originally for the trim on one of my pickups. Purchased from an auto paint store.

I used pin nails rather than glue, adhesive or double sided tape. Pin nails definitely are not as permanent but if you have to remove the trim piece for some reason it doesn’t destroy the trim piece or the wall covering.

I also use pin nails. You can get a cheap pin nailer from Harbor Freight for about 30 bucks. I set the air pressure to 75PSI and it works very well.

Pin nails for the above reasons.
