Towing with current truck.
I'm looking into purchasing a 2022 303RLS and 2022 2500 HD with Duramax. Are you happy with your trailer and TV? We will be traveling from New England to Florida and I'm wondering if it's enough truck.

I moved this discussion over to the towing forum as the hitch weight survey sub-forum and thread were meant to stay on topic.

For me, a 303 is 1 ton territory. With a GVWR of 12k that puts the recommended pin weight at 2760. Since you haven’t got the truck yet, go for the 1 ton.
Could you do it with a 3/4 ton, yes, but I feel you will be very close to or maybe a bit over your limits. Going 1 ton May save you a bit of frustration down the line.
Good Luck, and please share with us what you get.

I would check out one of the Ram forums for payload stickers. The 3/4 ton Cummins doesn't have a good payload, it can pull a lot but the diesel weights a lot more and that is all payload. That's why I went 1 ton gas.
