4x4.....actually, wife and I did it in under an hour, clocked it in the correct position on tailgate of my 2500, backed it up under camper, lowered the camper up/down to accommodate, and it went on smooooth.

Wife "and I". Like I said, not something you can install yourself.

I may have typed my response so that it was easily misconstrued. I should have typed, "it is extremely heavy and you will need some help to get it on there if doing the install at home unless you have a lift of some short to help you."

I've gone a few hundred miles so far.....am EXTREMELY happy.

Which GenY model did you buy? I am considering the exact same swap… I have a 303 and I am currently using an Anderson hitch with a F-250… CCSB

Hey Sabredriver, the one you will want is the GH-8045AL....(AL is for Auto Latch if you want)....$1377.99 (unless they had price increase).....this one is for the 303 w/tongue weight 1.5k-3.5k.
    You will love it.

    Ps......I got the AL.....it's awesome.
    Ask if you have questions.

    Doesn’t that void your warranty?
It’s my understanding that the goosebox is the only approved gooseneck hitch.

No Sir, I verified with GD, no warranty issues.

It is my understanding that the Lippert frame warranty only has one approved hitch replacement, and that is the Reese goose box. I’ve been doing a lot of reading and there are many posters on here that have talked to Lippert and have been told it is not approved.
Very confusing because I would like one as well, however it’s the frame warranty from Lippert that apparently is a big concern and keeping me from pulling trigger.

It is correct. They refuse to pay for what it takes to get Lippert's blessing and will not honor the frame warranty in the event of an issue. Classic territorial move, just like how the Lippert "reforcing" of the spring hangers makes MORryde X-Factors a no go on frames that have come with V-clips.

I have the V-clips & MORryde C-factors. An independent RV shop welded them on.
