Norfolk KOA vs TRAV-L-PARK
Has anyone had experience with either of these locations? Family with x2 kids. We usually like state/national parks so we're looking for space and some shade. Of course, in this instance family fun stuff is desired. Will be visiting in early June 2022.
Thanks!

Shade depends on the site you get, and you might have a better chance at the KOA. Of course, you can always hang out in the shade of the rig. The travel park supersites don't have shade but others probably do.
Both have lots for kids. And I highly recommend the Virginia Aquarium just down the street.
The KOA has a shuttle to the oceanfront and Travl Park has a free parking lot at the oceanfront. The campgrounds are pretty much across the street from each other.
We stayed at the KOA for a dealers owners rally, and at the Travel Park one year we hadn't been able to travel due to illness, as a maiden voyage, and when we had floors refinished in our house. Both are about 5 miles from our storage.
If you don't need sewer, check out First Landing State Park.
