It will pull it just fine. The important question is......do you have enough payload capacity on that truck to CARRY the weight of the trailer.....the pin weight! Check the payload sticker on the driver side door post and see what YOUR truck's payload capacity is. Then calculate the pin weight of that trailer (at least 20% of the GVWR of it) and do the math. Don't forget to add up the weight of anything and everything else involved for payload....the weight of the 5ver hitch, passenger(s) weight, toolbox in the bed with tools, firewood, etc, etc. Anything and everything that goes in the truck and on the truck....except the fuel weight and 150 lbs of driver weight.

Fortunately Florida registration and tax fees are relatively reasonable for 1-ton pick up trucks. Our F350 SRW and ordered F-450 DRW tags run $140/yr, and no additional taxes or fees.

Even crazier we owned private aircraft for over 30 years and there were no State registration of annual tax fees at all. There wasn’t even a requirement to carry insurance on private aircraft in Florida. Just needed to register with FAA. The only fee was a one time $5 fee to register aircraft with FAA.

What state(s) have such high fees? In MN, any vehicle with a GVW over 10,000 pounds pays annual tax based on weight, which makes my registration fee $120 per year ($129 with service charges).

The first time I registered my 2013 Sierra 2500HD in South Carolina (where you have to declare the combined weight you plan on towing), taxes and registration were $700. They went down to about $650 the next year. The Taxes and registration on the Reflection fifth wheel were about $1,200/year. We got the heck out before we went full-time... I can't imagine what the F350 dually towing a Solitude would have cost.

In Colorado the YEARLY registration, taxes and fees are based on 1) Age of the vehicle 2) The MSRP (not purchase price) 3) The curb weight (for trucks only. Note This is NOT the GVWR). The first year my $68k (MSRP) F350 cost $1,193. The second year was $884. Third year $781. Registration on my 25 year old Chev 3500 was $142 when I sold it!
