blowing 30 amp fuse using front landing gear
Has anyone experienced blown fuses on the 2015 Reflection while engaging (raising) front landing gear? Had it for 2 months, everything was fine until today.

Welcome to the forum Bob & Jamie.
The 30AMP fuse blowing on the landing gear is a fairly common issue.
It happens when the landing gear is overdriven (extend or retract mode) or when the battery is low.
The best way to avoid it is to mark a line on the inner post when it is fully retracted. That way you can see when you get there.
Also, carry plenty of spare 30 AMP fuses.
Mine has blown 3 times.
Good luck. Enjoy your new Reflection.

Don't forget you can also raise/lower the LG using the manual crank. On my 2014, the access hole is on the street side, behind the propane bottle. There is a plastic cap covering the hole.
We love our 337RLS. Had it almost a year. Worked through a few issues, but we would buy another GDRV product.

Yea, after having manual stabilizers on our previous rv, we'd like to not have to refer to doing it that way!! But certainly good to have a back up way for sure!! We are new to this forum and already appreciate the help and advise!! Take care and Thanks Again!!

blowing 30 amp fuse using front landing gear
It wouldn't be all that difficult to add limit switches to make over travel of the gear impossible through electrical means. Actually surprised that the factory design isn't implementing this. Two inductive proximity switches wired in with the switch would take care of it. One mounted high in the tube for the up travel and one low for the down travel. Normally open contacts in series with the extend circuit and normally closed for retract. Hardest part of this project would be drilling into one of the tubes and tapping out the hole.

To add onto what Linger said ... A helpful tip I learned a while back is to not only mark lines near up and down limits but also a series of lines and numbers so it can be noted where your landing gear is at "un-hitch" so getting back to the same height for "hitching up" is made very easy. I made lines every 1/2 inch.

I have never blown the fuse, my dealer told us in our PDI to stop at the line from paint overspray when retracting front and rear jacks.
My question is how far does the front landing gear go down (to lift 5er)? On our second trip, a year ago, we were on a very unlevel site. I am 6' tall, normally ny face will hit the side of the overhang, but on this trip with 5er finally level I could jump up and down under overhang and not hit my head! I was surprised how high landing gear would lift it! How far is too far? So I can mark that too.Scott and Jan Platt Ocala, FL

I'm certain our PDI wasn't up to par.. Being a new 5th wheel owner we didnt know the questions to ask and in the end (yes, the end) he said he'd never done a PDI!! Imagine that!! Thankfully our trial run trip we took gave us our first lesson with this issue!! Thank you to everyone who responded!! We are feeling better and are confident our Grand Design Reflection 337RLS is the best ever!!
