Has anyone used this towing setup in a short bed F250

I have a 2022 Ford F250 with 6 3/4 ft bed, or short bed. I would like to use the B&WRVK3300 fixed hitch to pull a 2021 Grand Design Reflection 150 268BH. Has anyone used this setup in a F250 with a short bed and had no trouble with the trailer hitting the cab?

As long as you get this option "The Companion is made in both fixed and sliding options. The Slider hitches allow for 12” of movement for turning and maneuvering clearance in shortbed trucks." Then you should be fine. Look for more forum input, others here or on general camping forums should have real life input.

You can use any hitch in the bed, the 150 series comes with the Turning Pint hitch.

You let the hitch do the pivoting under the frame instead of at the pin.

If your truck has the puck system, no problem with the B&W Companion/ /turning point compatibility. My truck didn't have the puck system installed, so I added a B&W turn over ball goose neck hitch. As I was researching 5er hitch options, I found a warning from B&W not to use the Companion hitch/turn over ball combination with a "wedge" set-up like the turning point uses. Something about too much force on the single point attachment of the goose neck shank.

Sorry Stoney1948 I can not answer your direct question. But, I do have a 2021 F250 short box with the pucks, and a Reflection 150. I looked at all options and ended up deciding on the Pullrite Superglide 2914. I have been pleased with it. Yes it is heavy, yes it takes up a lot of space in the bed, Yes you should lubricate it with WD40 regularly. I did not want to take pin box down annually to lubricate the bearing so leave the pin box locked in the standard position and use the wedge that comes attached with the pin box.

I'm using that hitch with my 2021 F250, 5th wheel hitch prep and 2021 Grand Design Reflection 150 295RL. However, I do use the turning point feature.

Does anyone really need a slider or turning point with the 150 series? I have not with my old skool shortbed F250 and 260RD. Not sure anything has changed dimensionally...

Dan, I think another way to put it is: Has anyone hit their cab using a non slider hitch on a short bed F250 and the 150 series turning point pin in the locked stationary position?? I would like to know that answer too.

    Yes, that is.
The Ford SD short bed is 6.75' long while other brands may be shorter. This, along with the 150 series front cap shape and pin location leaves quite a space to prevent interference in most cases, I do believe.
So yeah, let's hear from those that have had problems...
