    Camping with Rear Seat Removed

Does anyone camp with their back seat removed. If so, how is it working out.

You mean use the rear seat area to sleep in - ala like tent camping but the rear seat area is the tent? Or just remove the seat for more storage? Not sure I understand the question.

We have a F250, extended cab, bought for just that reason. However, we didn't remove the seat, because we do need to use it on occasion. We typically travel with our cooler and other items (hats, jackets, shopping bags, blanket, etc) in the back.

Also some repair stuff for quick fixes on the road.

Are you talking about the back seat of the truck or the rear sofa in the Reflection?

We have a SuperCrew, the rear seat is always folded up for storage but available when we have the occasional extra passengers. Wouldn't sleep there though.

However, a shorter adult could easily fit there for sleeping with enough room.

I have a crew cab and the rear seats fold up, but I normally don't bother. Our clothes, some tools, etc fit fine on the seats and floor.

whew..... glad to hear that answer.....

Since we meet friends along the way often we keep the seat available for passengers.

But we also clutter it up a lot of times with stuff for day trips. Nothing permanent other than some tools, and safety items under the seat in that storage area.

The seat fills with coats or sweaters that we think we might need on our day trips along with a small cooler and maybe a bag of snacks or lunch (especially on a travel day to another location). Plus our backpacks, hiking poles, maybe a camera bag when going out exploring & such.
