    Adding Solar Panel on Roof

I have a 2610ML and currently have a portable solar panel on the roof that I have to remove before every trip. I drop the wire down the front of the trailer to connect to the controller. I want to permanently mount a panel to the roof to save me the hassle. It's kind of dangerous for an old man. I haven't pried the solar roof prep open yet but am curious what I'll find. Is there a connector that I plug the wire from the panel in to and then I pick up in the storage bay? Or is it just a channel for the wire from the solar panel to run to the bottom of the trailer?

You will find two connectors attached to wires already run down to your storage in the front.

You might consider adding (2) panels. Its surprising how a small leaf, shade, low sun angle etc.. can very quickly reduce output of any panel(s). If you have the room, and already justified need for solar, then consider 2 panels.

Just want to keep the battery topped off while in storage. Don't plan on dry camping anytime soon. My wife just can't seem to turn off the shower.

I knew that they ran down somewhere but didn't see them in the front storage. I guess I have to take the wall panel off to find it. I want to put the controller inside so that may be good. Thanks.

I just have a single 10W panel that hangs from the side of the trailer that faces the sun. Our Momentum is wired for a solar battery maintainer/charger, so it's easy to use. I have no desire to put the necessary holes in the roof for something that, strictly speaking, isn't necessary to have up there. So far it works great and keeps the single 12V battery in great shape.

Can't say for sure as I don't have the same trailer but in my Imagine XLS the wires come down to the front pass thru storage and are stored on the back wall under a black plastic cover.

    Good Luck
