To save space in the gray tank if you do not have full hook up. Many state parks do not have full hook up and if there for more than a few days it's easy to fill a gray tank if you aren't mindful of what you're putting in it. Hooking up to dump mid (stay) trip isn't on my list of things to do

I guess I can see that. We stay at state parks most of the time, but we also can last a week without hookups. We just limit our use when hookups aren't available.

Not an issue with our latest 5th wheel, but our last one had a very small shower, and poor water pressure. We used the park showers if there was good pressure and they were of a decent size. You're paying for them, might as well get your money's worth.
