Propane Regulator recall and tank switching problem

Hello,
I am aware of the Propane Regulator 'Recall' on my 2020 Imagine 2970RL, but haven't yet had a good chance to take it in for replacement.


However, I didn't read anything in the 'Recall' letter mentioning any issue with "switching tanks when one is depleted" -- and this is the problem I seem to be experiencing.
In other words, it only works when I switch the lever myself over to the full tank.

Is the recall related to this too? If not, what could be causing this and what might be the solution?

Had my recall replacement installed last week and the the switch over mechanism was also replaced.

You are probably past this issue by a few months -
But my new and improved auto-changeover regulator on my 2022 2970 RL just died, it stopped switching as you mention (Possibly with the older version).

While I know its under warranty- I have little tolerance for this type of failure on the road.

I purchased an MB Sturgis Auto-changeover model from Hutch Mountian it has the pigtails and all easy switchover. It’s a reputable (and American) manufacturer its $78.00 plus shipping. I have had great experiences with Hutch Mountian in the past and suspect this will be another well worth it addition.

Just my experience if it helps another member.

Thanks -- good info! ...Yeah, I'm not totally convinced that the NEW regulator replacement is working like it should. For the Recall, they sent me the exact same model again!
