    Furnace not lighting

so we are having a problem with our Suburban furnace. It takes 2 or 3 tries to get it to light, then it runs just fine until it reaches temp. and shuts off. then when it needs to come on again it wont light .this is exactly the same problem our fridge was having. I fixed the fridge problem by bending the igniter rod a little further from the burner to get a stronger spark and it has worked ever since. the manual says that the furnace must be removed to adjust the burner rod, does any one know if I can remove the panel in the pass through storage area and access the burner from behind so I don't have to remove the furnace?

    Hi @Dave and Darlene,

I've asked Suburban Customer Service to contact you today to discuss your concern, as it may or may not be related to the burner rod... Or if it's more convenient, please feel free to contact Suburban Customer Service directly at (423) 775-2131. We do not recommend that you do this repair yourself, as it may impact your warranty coverage with Suburban.

    Best regards,
    ~ Janice
