water intrusion pass thru storage frame

Water seeps behind the trim on the pass thru storage doors and accumulates on the inside lip of the frame. Do i need to silicone the trim? Will this damage the door over time? Worried about possible water inside the door frames.

I have the same thing on our TT. It hasn't leaked into the pass through. After a rain if I open the storage door I have a towel inside to wipe up the water. From what I can tell from the pic the water is on the outside of the weatherstripping on the metal trim of the opening which is what I experience.
