If you really care about your children you would never let them ride in the rv. Might be legal but after we totaled our in 2017 303RLS there wasn’t much left of it. It literally went over the top of the truck we were towing it with which was also totaled. I’ll find a few photos tomorrow and add them to this post.

This is one of the main reasons we sold our class A years ago. I felt very uncomfortable strapping the kids car seat to the couch (which had a seatbelt) which was lag bolted to the flimsy plywood. Our future grandkids will always be secured in a “real” vehicle.

Been on a business trip, sorry. Sounds like it's a bad idea for a variety of reasons, appreciate everyone's feedback.

First as other have said riding in the back would be quite uncomfortable. I know first hand that riding in the bedroom (front) of a fifth wheel is quite comfortable but unsafe in case of an accident. Once about 11 years ago on the way from Seattle to California down I5 I had to ride on the bed because I was having serious back issues and couldn't sit in the truck any longer. I rode in the bedroom with a walkie talkie connection between my husband and myself so we could communicate. This was not in our 303 but a 2003 Alumascape about the same size as the 303. I was quite comfortable but there is no way I could have ridden in the back of the trailer because it bounces all over the place. I have never done it again because of the (un)safety factor, but in an emergency the front is the only place to ride.

Having said that if you want to purse it further I suggest looking online at stores that supply seatbelt replacements for motorhomes.

I have a 303 and the recliners are in the slides. It has been mentioned not to sit in furniture when slides retracted. Can’t imagine how much damage to slides while in motion as most roads are not smooth. Anything back in the rear area is tossed around. Better ride is the bed in front area. Still, in an accident, I would not want to be in the RV it’s just foam and aluminum.
