Seat belts for recliners or sofa

We have a 303RLS, and in our state it is legal to ride in the trailer while on the road. Our grown children would like to ride back there, and I wanted to see if anyone can recommend after market seat belts for the recliners or sofa.

    Thanks!

Doubt there is anything that would provide any security. That furniture is held down with some mighty small screws in a weak wood substrate. Good enough to prevent it from moving around, but not at all secure for even a minor crash. You'd have to jury rig some kind of separate attachment points for the seat belts, and even that would have a high chance of causing more injuries than it prevented. Vehicle seat belts are a highly engineered part of a comprehensive system.
I'd suggest having them go for a short test ride. They'll quickly be moving back to the main vehicle after they discover how terrible the suspension system for an RV is!

Peggy likes riding in the trailer, but I think it's not a good thing to do. In all actuality there are few trailer wrecks, but that being said, when there are wrecks the damage done to the trailer is extensive. If it were me I wouldn't worry about them being secured in place in case of an accident, but I would discourage riding in the trailer anyway. JMO of course.

Legal doesn't make it smart. It would be extremely dangerous in the event of an accident. A friend who RVs with my sister and BIL decided to try it once just to see... said it was awful (rough and noisy).

The only place that would make since to ride would be in the bedroom, with access to the bathroom and a portion of the fridge. Sitting in the recliners or on the sofa locks you into the back of the trailer. Good luck crawling under the table or climbing over the sink.

With that said.....argee that riding in the trailer is not the best idea for safety reasons.

I little while ago I saw a video footage taken inside an rv while it was traveling. I was expecting a rough ride but was really surprise at what point it was. Now after seeing that footage, I can't believe how things actually stay together and doesn't all come apart. Even if there was a secure place to sit, you wouldn't catch me in there.

FWIW, my wife and my sister-in-law both agreed that it was fairly comfortable riding back there. They rode on the bed and took a nap. Not my cup o'tea, but YMMV.

I could see myself having a nap up in the bedroom, but think the recliners would be a more 'lively' experience.

"Comfortable" it may be, but, if there were an accident, I'd not want to be trapped in the bedroom. Yes, there's a window in the fifth wheel, but that drop out the window (if you can contort yourself to actually get OUT of the window), with a bad hip isn't something I want to deal with.
