Split in side door of brand new 2022 Momentum 21G

Has anyone else experienced this? 1 night spent in the trailer so far, stored in my yard. Definitely no impacts etc. Weather was very cold recently but going out to the trailer prepping for an upcoming trip and I noticed there's a split in the door. I've left messages for the dealer we bought the trailer from but no word back yet. It's 4 months old. The split is about 2" long, the corner is still stable although it doesn't look good. Hoping to get the door replaced under warranty ASAP and just wondering if this is common. Click image for larger version.

I run a Facebook group for the 29G/331G toyhaulers and frequent the other Momentum toyhauler groups. Never saw that before.

Thanks, that's the same answer I'm getting everywhere. It's really weird. The door has never been slammed open, etc. it doesn't really make sense to me either. That side of the trailer faces open yard also.

Looks like the screw started it, and the cold has made it fracture further. Looks like a one-off event.

Looks like they didn't predrill and the screw cracked the fiberglass. Full replacement for sure.

Are those water spots of impact marks on the door? did it happen at dealer or in transport and just wasn't noticed?

That is water, pictures were taken in the rain. No impacts, definitely new. I have pictures where it wasn't there. The above poster is right. They did not pre-drill the hole where the plate is attached for the magnet. The dealer submitted the warranty claim this morning. Hopefully it doesn't take forever for a new door.

Hope your replacement door is in stock or can be quick-shipped from Lippert. We had our entry door replaced under warranty because original was installed at a slight angle in the opening and wouldn't latch (or unlatch - but that's another story). Couldn't adjust it enough, so entire thing (door, screen door & frame) replaced. Claim was made in July of last year and took about 5 months for GD to get a new door from Lippert. GD had plenty of doors on hand, but all were committed to units on the assembly line. Of course, dealer forgot to order the decals at the same time as the door, so that just got done last week. Fortunately, we were still able to use the camper while we waited on the new door although in order to get the door to close (or more importantly, open, if we were inside), I had to remove the strike plate, leave it off, and cut out a bigger opening for the latch and deadbolt. Had an RV Lock, but even with the strike plate removed, could not get it installed in the old door so it would open and close. That was weird.

That's what I'm afraid of. Functionally the door is fine. I'm going to put some silicone in it to keep water out until it can be replaced.
