The Wife and I were in Academy Sports the other day looking for hiking shoes. We ended up buying a pair of Keen shoes. Really nice and comfortable for hiking. While we were there, came across the binocular display cabinet. For our summer trip to South Dakota, and then down to Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Bryce, we thought some binoculars might come in handy. We didn't want to spend high dollars for some but a decent pair for looking at wildlife and scenery.

We ended up buying a Tasco 16x50 for $64. Pretty nice, light weight and inexpensive for hikes and such. Not too bad at 16 power with some nice wide lens with a nice carrying case. Never had a pair of binocs before but these seem ok. Really brings things up close and not too shaky. Yeah they are not Bushnell or other expensive brands, If they get dropped or damaged we're not out too much. Will fit right in with our back packs and hiking supplies. We are really looking forward to our trip north and west.
