Received the letter today. If I can't install them, I won't be making the upgrade. We probably spent 80 nights in the camper over the past two years. Never noticed the sharp edges on the handles.

From what I can tell this is what the new handles look like.
I will request a set for our 2450RL
    FYI 41 handles pulls!

Since it is now known that the replacement handles will mount with the same screws and holes as the originals, I have decided to replace them myself. I called the GD recall line and requested that they send them to me. They just requested a photo of a couple of the new handles mounted and that will satisfy the recall.

That's good news and the first I heard of it being a simple swap without needing to drill new holes. Happy I don't need to empty drawers to drill holes. I plan to have a cold six pack and some good music on on a nice afternoon for the project.

They didn’t ask me for photos. I guess it’s who you talk to.

Ordered my new handles on March 14, arrived today via UPS. Sorry to inform you that it will require drilling. The new handles are short than the originals. We'll be replacing ours while out on the road. Biggest issue will be centering them, otherwise a little putty on the back of each door/drawer. Not going to be visible from the front.

Here are the photos taken right after arrival. I have not installed yet. As you can see, the new handle is smaller.

Got my imagine last year and did get a paper cut on one of the handles. So.....I took a fine file to most of them. The corners on one were particularly sharp. Can't even tell they were filed (slightly rounded). Took all of a Stella 500ml beer can to do.

Looking at the replacement handles....I really don't like them. Prefer the old ones.

Oh well, at least they still mount from the back. I was told that they use the same holes. Could it be possible that they are sending different ones to different owners?

I got the letter the other day. I went out to look at the handles and they seem fine to me but if they will send out new handles that is certainly more convenient than hauling the camper 90 miles to the dealer.

I ordered mine as well. Two reasons: 1) don’t have to spent $150-$200 in gas to get to the dealer and back. 2) I can decide if I like them. If not, I will just file down the “sharp” existing ones like I was already planning to do.
