    Upgrading to 310GK-R??

    I am considering buying a new 310GK-R MSRP is 134K. I got a quote from a dealer at 119K, I told him don't insult me and hung up on him. I am expecting to pay no more that 90K. Am I off on my figures?

    $44k off MSRP during these times. Yeah, I would say you are a little off on your figures.

    The tongue weight rating on GD website isn’t going to be accurate. 20% GVWR on 5th wheel, 13% GVWR on TT. Need to be sure you trucks payload can account for the tongue weight.

    You can't go by the empty pin weights published by GD. The 310GK-R will put 3,200 - 3,400 lbs. on the pin when loaded. Most folks use 23% of the trailer's GVWR for an estimated loaded pin weight for fifth wheels. Ours scales at 3,400 lbs. consistently. You also can't go by the truck manufacturer's numbers on-line. They are generic and don't take into consideration trim levels, accessories, etc.

    Right now that would be a tall order to pull 30%+ off. I feel I got in JUST prior to the real craziness and was able to get 30 off last spring. Most places weren't going below 20 even then. I know I couldn't get that today from the same dealer.

    I personally think the bubble is starting to crack, if only slightly. I would wait awhile and see what shakes out.

    Understand, my fifth wheel hitch max is 3375 Fifth wheel max trailer weight is 13500 so right at the max.

    I don't want to get into the can you/can't you weight debate since it wasn't asked about in the OP. Just for your own information, Look at your door jamb sticker on your truck, it will give you max payload and it will be nowhere near 3375. I would venture a guess of around 22xx best case. Plus you have to pull passengers/hitch weight/other payload off that number. The 2020+ 2500's dropped the 10K limit and have a higher number like the previous gen 3500's
