    In Virginia you have to make sure the propane is off before going through the tunnels. In Maryland you are not allowed in the tunnels even carrying propane.

    Going through any of the tunnels in Hampton Roads your propane has to be off. You have to stop at the check stop so they can make sure. When I get to the other side, I just stop and turn it back on so my refrigerator keeps running.

    I'm here in the Beach too, more than happy to go into more detail if needed. It takes less than a minute at most of the bridges and tunnels - not really a big deal at all.

    Rerouting is an option, of course, but consider the current state of construction along I-64 at the High Rise Bridge. Odd that I'm more comfortable driving thru a tunnel than a construction area with concrete/jersey walls on both sides.
