Grand Design Reflection Feedback
We have come to the point where we no longer need our bunkhouse fifthwheel (teenagers don't think we're cool anymore) and are searching for the "perfect" new fifth wheel. We have looked at Gulfstream Canyon Trail and also the Grand Design Reflection 337RLS. Both have some awesome features. Just curious of everyone's opinion out there who has a Grand Design product. We have been through absolute nightmares with a Keystone Outback TT, then moved on to a Forest River Cardinal which we had no major issues with. With so many manufacturers/models of fifth wheels, it's overwhelming trying to choose a reliable brand that has features we need and want. Any feedback, opinions, advice from any of you who own a Grand Design product would be so greatly appreciated! We need to narrow down our search! Thank you in advance!

Welcome and good luck with your search. Our teens still like to camp, not so much thinking we are cool so we opted to stay in a bunk house and have the 323. There isn't much difference between the 323BHS and the 337RLS. Instead of a sofa on the rear wall we have another hutch for more storage and a door leading to the bunk house. The shower is a corner unit and smaller and the front BR has a closet space in the slide instead of the bed. The 323 has one more slide and a lot more storage if that is a concern and an outdoor kitchen with another fridge, microwave and sink. 232 is just a little heavier and a tad longer. Im fairly certain that the two opposing slides in the living area could be interchanged between the two models. You do get 3 ft more of awning with the 337RLS and the option for a king bed that isnt all the much bigger, 10 inches wider.

Hi, Sounds like you have a tough decision. We've been very happy with our Reflection. We have had just a few minor things that needed warranty work. All done rather quickly by our dealer.
Not every unit is perfect, you'll see that by reading here. Where the big difference lies is if you get a unit with issues is the Grand Design customer service cant be beat. If you can, take the factory tour, worth the time.
When we stepped into the 303 we knew right away this was the right trailer for us. Our second choice would have been the 337.
We wanted to keep the length down because we prefer state and federal camping & 33ft makes finding sites much easier for us.Marcy & Gary

Welcome to the forum! We have a Reflection 337RLS and love it! Have had it for almost one year and two months, have put about 4,500 miles on it, and leave Fri for our 13th trip in it.
I looked at a couple Canyon Trails before buying Reflection. The quality and finish seems a lot better to me.
And as mentioned you will not find another manufacturer with better customer service.
Good luck with your search and decision. Hope to welcome you to the Grand Design family soon!Scott and Jan Platt Ocala, FL

We love our 337. Have had it almost a year and have been very pleased with every aspect of it. Our previous camper was an Outback that was not a nightmare at all, but was really small and primitive compared to our 337. We love the bed slide (windows) feature of the 337 and the large shower. And the living area is so large and spacious. The large awning is nice too. And the storage is amazing. We've had no issues outside of a malfunctioning furnace which was quickly repaired. I believe our dealer did an excellent job of prepping the unit for us, we've had no leaks at all and everything works fabulously. Since all camping units are dragged at a high rate of speed over bumpy highways, we know there will be issues at some point. But Grand Design really stands behind their product and customer support is excellent. Not sure you get that level of support with other manufacturers. We looked at Keystone Cougars, Augusta Flex, and Bay Hill before deciding on Grand Design, but really one look sold us on our 337.

Welcome to the forum colhannah! I can't help you out with the decision on the Reflection because we have a Soltude, but I can tell you that you will not find better customer service than Grand Design.
Take time and read through the forum and you will find some folks here have had problems with their Reflections, and some have been serious problems. You will also find that Grand Design stepped up and corrected all those problems to the owners satisfaction.
Good luck with your decision and we hope you become part of the Grand Design family.

Love our 337! We have her almost a year now (short a week or two) and still can't say enough about her. We have used it four seasons down to minus you shouldn't be out in this in the snow and ice. We took our two 20 something year old kids to DC last fall and was able to sleep them just fine. The son slept on the sofa pulled out and the daughter on an air mattress which fit fine between the table and island. Any issue we have had has been addressed quickly by not only our dealer but also Grand Design. I know this is a tough choice took us two years of looking to get to where we are and we are delighted with our choice. Good luck and enjoy the process.

We have a just purchased 27RL. If you are not aware, you need to do a through PDI (maybe even before you make the final decision). That will go a long ways to giving you the information on the quality of the unit(how it was screwed together, if you will). During our inspection we found mosltly minor things such as wood trim not fastened down, a ripped slide-out seal, some missing sealant on the roof seams(yes, you need to get on the roof), a loose entry door seal(which the service tech doing the PDI had apparently just ripped to loose piece off and thought he'd not get caught) and a broken Flexguard under one of the slide outs. This supports the wires from the main frame out to the slide out. Several have had issues with these cracking. A good read on here will give you things that need to be looked at with G.D. However most are minor and every RV has issues, IMO. Just do a through inspection and make sure they get fixed before handing over your money.

We also had an Outback TT that had some problems. We were not happy with the unit or the response from Outback folks. We now have the 313 RLTS travel trailer which we are quite happy with. The only problem so for was a bad A.C. seal that was leaking. Dealer fixed in 30 minutes, no more issues at this point. We are happy GD customers.

I stay in my 337 while working away from home. Many nights a year. After a furnace problem that has been taken care of. I cant say enough how well built it seems to be.
