I am keenly interested in basement sensors, having just spent about $6k to have basement flooring and wet insulation replaced. What brands are out there? Pros and cons? Etc

I use these at home https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0758PZ4J8/ I keep one under all my sinks and behind washing machine. The sensor is a 5 foot long cable. If it gets wet anywhere along the 5 feet the alarm goes off. It alerted me that my washing machine had a small leak and the reverse osmosis system under my kitchen sick was dripping. It was only a few drops of water. All it needs is one drop of water to touch the cable and it alerts. I was very impressed.

The high pitched alert drives my dog crazy and he starts barking like crazy.

Once you correct the leak and let the cable dry out it can be reused. You can string multiple cabkes together and it will cover lots of area.

Minor flood that would have been a major flood without a basement water alarm.

Word to the wise! Replace that crap as soon as you can! I had the pex and tools to replace it first thing this am.....back on the road!

My plumbing system lasted 20 months before I had leaks everywhere. Here is a link to my post about it and the repairs that I did.

I use an adjustable water pressure regulator set at 60psi and I have not had a water leak since I rebuilt the system. I love having the 80psi blow off valve. As soon as the water heater kicks on I start getting a slow drip from the outlet pipe. I also put a in-line pressure gauge on the system and it goes from 60psi to 80psi pretty fast.

FYI, the manual for my 2021 Solitude specifies a max of 40 PSI. Sad, but true.

Also an FYI, GD re-imbursed me for all parts and tools required to reoair my system. Likely because I could document a 40 PSI pressure regulator.

What I would like is some sort of auto shutoff for the water pump. I constantly forget to turn it off when leaving the coach... Some sort ot timer switch is what I am thinking of,,, After a set time, it cuts the power.. If I am there and need water I could just reset it. When I leave, power would be cut off soon if I forget to do it, With 155 gallons of FW, that could be a big issue if a hose let go without me present.... Ideas?

The blow off valve seems to be doing its job.

Have you considered installing an expansion tank? The tank would do a great job of preventing that 60-80 PSI increase when the water heater kicks in. The added benefit would be when using the fresh water tank it would reduce the cycling of the water pump.

An expansion tank is on my to-do list.

Here’s a highly rated tank with 1/2” fittings on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IRFW38W
