Maxx Air instead of 2nd A/C

I took delivery of my 2022 Reflection 150 Series 280RS about 6 weeks ago. I don't think I really need a 2nd A/C at this point, and I'd like to replace the standard no-fan vent with a Maxx Air (or similar) vent. Unfortunately, when I drop the inside vent cover, there is no 12V wiring there, only 120V for a second A/C. I did find a 12V line crossing the space, but I think it is for the overhead lights, and wouldn't be suitable for a powered vent. Has anyone installed a 12V converter on the 120V line to install the powered vent? I understand the amperage requirements of the Maxx Air and would install a compatible converter capable of powering it. Just wondering if it has been done.

    Thanks!

The 12V wiring that you see is to the overhead light. It will support the fan. It is also the 12VDC(& ground) that you will tie into if you install a second AC.

I wasn't worried about it being able to support the current draw, I was thinking more that it was a switched circuit. I'll check into it this evening. Thanks!

nadkaw1957 etrailer says the maxxair fans draw 4.5 amps and about 9 amps at start up.

Below is a link showing the install of wiring for a second fan in a 2600RB. Your 280RS will have a longer run for the wire, if you choose to tap the existing fan. You should be able to run 12v wires with an electrician's fish tape or rod.
