Great idea Stephen! We have a Reflection with a bike rack, so the bike wheels are blocking our little stock lights some. I have considered that it's hard to see when I'm stopping or turning, especially in daylight.

Well the added lights did help. My dad followed me all the way to Florida and and there was a few times that a car got between me and him, he said that when that happened, he couldn't see the bottom lights, but the upper lights I installed helped him see when I was stopping or changing lanes.

I call that a big ole success. Lol

Pretty cool - definitely looks like they help with visibility!

OK - I've had these in my Amazon cart for a few days and didn't pull the trigger yet.....I guess I need to do it now (I LOVE projects like this)

MonkeyMan....Go ahead and order them. I am almost finished installing mine. A word of caution though...watch out when drilling the holes up from the bottom. I almost broke my wrist when the bit caught and spun the drill motor. Fishing the wire through is my next task. I have to have it finished this weekend because we are heading to Florida Tuesday morning.

Just did this yesterday really love this mod, I taped a screw upside down an added a small nut slide down over screw for weight on a string an dropped from the top hole an stuck a magnet up from bottom an caught the screw then taped the wire on the other end of string was real easy to fish wires. Thanks again to Stephen for this mod

I used this bit
It didn't bit hard while drilling and it allowed me to make the hole progressively larger. I just used black tape where I wanted to stop with the bit so I didn't go to big.
