No Gravity Fill for Fresh Water

Picking up our new 323 BHS Tuesday and the first trip is to Cades Cove dry camping. I can't believe they did not install this feature but we liked this camper so much I decided to deal with it. Anyone else addressed this problem? Thanks

Hi nd welcome to the GD family! There is a selection on the Kant Leak panel for filling the tank. The hose gets hooked up like you would for pressure source. Change the dials according to the panel and the tank should fill

I understand that part. The problem is when you don't have a hose to hook up. When we dry camp for a week I have to add water every other day and with every other camper I've had you have an opening to pour water from a can into the tank. Thank You for the reply though.

On my first outing I underfilled my freshwater tank and rather than hook up the trailer and drive to the fill station, I used a six foot long garden hose attachment and a five gallon bucket that I bought at a nearby Lowes. I attached one end of the hose to the panel and dropped the other in the bucket of water. I followed the settings instruction on the panel, turned on the pump and it sucked the water into the tank in no time. The label "Gravity Fill" is confusing.

What Centurion said, we use the pump to fill at the site too...it's really a nice feature. The settings on the station are in the list on the panel

Ill have to try tha gravity fill with the pump. That's a cool feature.

We have a 2016 323 also. It has a by fresh water tank I think 54 gallons of so. That's a lot of water. We dry camped for 3 days with 2 boys and the wife and still had a half tank left. Each too a shower each day.

1papaw, glad you brought this topic up. We rarely dry camp, but was puzzled by the term "Gravity Fill" on the Kantleak selector panel. Now I know! Someday I am going to read ALL of the manual....LOL

We live less than an hour from Great Smoky Mountain National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway so we do a fair amount of dry camping. But like I said earlier the layout of this camper is going to be perfect I think. The Gravity Fill just came to me when I started typing !

Well I picked up our 323 this morning and during the walk through we figured this process out. The diagram clearly show the valve settings for GRAVITY FILLING. The one important thing you must have is a short piece of hose to siphon the water out of your can. I think this is going to work just fine! Got mine at Sonny's in Duncan S.C. about 1.5 hrs away. Very good experience with them so far.
