    It's too bad that we can't just quote a section of a post here. I can do that on another forum I'm on. That way you highlight the part of the post you're responding to and just quote that section.

    It's too bad that we can just quote a section of a post here.

    You can do just that... or as Rob has said many many times simply use the @ symbol and insert the forum name of the person you're replying to, like this.... @livinthelife

    You can... use Reply With Quote and, within the quote delimiters, delete the part of the quote you don't want (be sure to not delete the quote delimiters on either end). When I do this I usually use an ellipse (...) to denote that I've omitted something from the original post.

    It's easier to just be able to highlight the portion you want to quote and then click "quote". Having to quote a whole post, then edit out a major part of it just to answer one question, or make one point is more involved.

    That just tags the person, not what you are wanting to respond to specifically within a post.
