    Hitch Paint

I am starting to get a little rust on the hitch of my Imagine. I was wondering what kind of paint to use on it. Thanks

Clean, degrease, chip, wire brush, and use a matching color of Rustoleum.

Just did some touch on mine today. Glossy Black is the color you want.

I like using the high-temp paint from Rustoleum, it really goes on well and the finish is superb. It works great for your hitch.

Depends on how new your unit is, they started using a new textured "enviro" powder coating. When first introduced, it was a dark gray, now is black.

The touch up paint from Lippert (direct only) is about $26 for 12 oz.

The black is easy to touch up with regular spray paint, the dark gray....not so much.

When I cleaned and repainted my hitch, I painted the ball receiver bright yellow. Makes it easier to see in the backup camera. Also stands out when walking around the front.

I did mine white for those reasons.
