    Water Heater doesn't light

    Brought camper out of storage. Stove lights furnace lights but water heater no go. Tries to go . Has ran about three seconds then shut down. will not fire up. hear clicking and all but no go. What you think problem is?

    of course double check propane connections and valves. make sure your battery is charged up. try turning the propane off, blead through the stove, then turn back on slowly. you may have a little air pocket that needs to be purged. make sure a mud dobber or some other insect hasn't blocked any passage to air or propane. the other thing is the thermal coupler, not sure if that could be the cause. Anyhow, all i can think of for now. good luck.

    Check for spiders in the air intake, here in the northeast that's a common issue.

    After trying the above, if it tries it could be the sail switch.

    I think only on-demand type (tankless) water heaters have a sail switch.

    Check wire from circuit board to ground... make sure connection at Grd is clean.... there are two thermal switches on the side of the tank one shuts the heater off when it's at the desired temp, the 2nd is over temp protection.... check them they should have continuity... or jumper them and test it... over many years the thermal switches and circuit board have given me trouble....
