Question New member (Canada) - electrical question

Hi, I am a new owner of a 2021 303RLS, the owners manual does not recommend using power adapters. I have always done this with my previous unit, especially when in my driveway. Does anyone know if there is a particular problem with that?

My guess is that it's simple CYA by the builder.

Welcome from Southern Ontario fellow Canadian.

Agree with Hoppy. I have several "dogbones". 50-15A for use in driveway and others. I just b ought a 50A to 30A as 98% of Ontario Provincial Parks are 30A service and I don't want to haul out that 50A cord if I don't have to.

Everyone uses the adapters. Just don't try to run your AC when hooked into 15A service at the house. Good for keeping the fridge going and the battery topped up. Also, the nuke may or may not trip the breaker depending on what else you have running at the time.

Congrats on your new portable home. I hope you have many years of enjoyment from it.

I use the adapters all the time. Just as the others have said it is likely a CYA.

Welcome to the group from Ottawa.
As others have already mentioned we all use adapters. It's almost impossible not to.

Might as well include Manitoba if we are doing all the provinces.

I loved staying at the Wesley Clover campground in Ottawa about 8 years ago or so. Lovely city.

We've never camp there as it's to close to home but every December we go there with the grand kids as they transform the cg into a drive thru Christmas lights. It takes close to an hour. They must have about 40 sites each with their own light display.

As a qualifier, when using an adapter, try to be sure it isn’t in contact with anything flammable. They can overheat and ignite in a manner that won’t trip the circuit protection device.
