    Low point drain tube question

I was thinking about replacing the low point drain tube PVC plugs with valves. My trailer is in storage 45 minutes away. Does anyone know the size of the PVC plugs so I can purchase valves without having to make the round trip to measure them?

    Any downside to this?

If anyone has done this can you suggest a good valve?

I've seen many post on here where members simply added a Sharkbite ball valve or similar. The PEX is 1/2".

These are what I used. Works great. Haven't found a downside in a year.

I still use the original ones and hand screw them. Never had an issue or difficulty unscrewing them when there's no pressure. FWIW

The pex female fitting screws onto 1/2" npt. I just put valves on mine. Normal hardware items.
