I ordered the 2022 with X-Plan which price protected it against price increases and the price was about 5% below sticker or right around invoice. I also received a $2,500 Exclusive Cash Offer, ECO. So when and if my 2022 F350 Platy arrives it will cost me less than $1,000 out of pocket plus my trade.

Then in January I ordered a F450 Platinum for 4% below INVOICE from another dealer. My plan is to maybe trade the 2022 F350 in on it. 450s in inventory are going for $10,000 over sticker or about $18,000 more than my deal.

Then in March a local dealer offered $150 cash if you ordered a vehicle so I ordered a 2022 F450 King Ranch from them using X-Plan about $5k below sticker. The $150 cash deal was $75 at time of order and $75 at delivery. If you change your mind no problem, keep the cash and they will put the truck on their lot and sell it. They sent me a $75 check the week after to ordered the truck.

All 3 trucks were ordered with no deposit and no commitment. I will have some difficult decisions once these trucks arrive. I already have someone interested in buying either the 450 Platinum or King Ranch from me if I don’t want it.

Worst case is I don’t take possession of any of them and keep my nice custom ordered 2020 F-350 SRW PSD.

    My wife thinks I’m nuts. Since 1970 I’ve bought 62 new vehicles. These trucks will be # 63, 64 & 65.

I don't know how you can order more than 1 vehicle on X-Plan as that program only allows 1 purchase of a vehicle in a 365 day period. I have a real hunch the dealer and possibly you will be in for a surprise. Another person I know of that tried this lost his rights to use of X-Plan for life. Sold all his Ford stock after that.

I’m very familiar with the X-Plan rules as I’ve used X-Plan probably 20 times. First time was in 1996 on a F-150 and a Expedition and most recent was 2018 on a special ordered 2019 F-350.

You can generate 2 pins and order 2 vehicles each 12 months using X- Plan per the program rules

Plus my wife and I qualify for X-plan multiple ways and each way we can generate 2 pins for each partner code. If you try to create more than 2 PIN numbers within 12 months it will not allow it.

i qualify for X-Plan the following ways:

I’m a long time Stock holder
my wife’s a long time stock holder
    Lifetime DAV Member
    EAA member
    Mustang club member
I’m a Retiree from Ford Partner company.
Wife’s a retiree from Partner company

Here are the rules and here is a pin history for me using my retiree from a partner company benefits.

Well the latest update on my F350 KR order, (Ordered NOV 1) It is supposed to arrive at the dealer Friday - yep Friday the 13th We shall see.

I am also x-plan ( EAA) and Jerry is correct on his options. I have used 2 pins in one year. It just depends if the dealer wants a deposit, how much and if it is refundable. (depends on state).

Last post seems odd for a first ever post...

I'm in the market for a new gasser 3/4 or 1 ton. Godzilla had my attention for its sheer awesome power but these lifter issues are spooking me a bit.

Do some research and find out if it's a real problem, or only something "discovered" by yewboob video makers. Is it an issue, or is it a video hot button to garner views, and money, for the video makers?

talking with a buddy of mine who's big into the motor home industry and whom I trust implicitly, 7.3s are starting to come off warranty and have issues in units that are 3 years old. Ford saying $30k to replace a 7.3 in a motor home. Ouch. Early thoughts are it's engines that idle a lot with the issue but that's just a hypothesis I've found on the innerwebs.

Either way, I'm in no hurry so I'm going to wait and see.

I am calling BS. The 7.3 gas is solid and easily rebuildable. Anyone charging 30K is a scam artist or quoting high on a modified 7.3 turbocharged diesel (the are normally not turbocharged). Probably 10K to 12k at best for a full rebuild. Aftermarket is very supportable too https://theinfamousproject.com/shop/...-swap-package/

Sorry but your buddy is misinformed.

Yeah, the 7.3 went back to the KISS principle. With good maintenance and switching to synthetic oil it should last very long...no telling what poor practices the failure was caused by. Click bait for sure!

Very good price on that site for sure. But if mine were to need a rebuild, I would consider a megazilla build while at it...

I dumped my 2019 Ram with the 6.4 because they have actual problems. We have numerous at work that are dead. I moved to the 7.3 and am very happy. Coming up on 1 year and it is a solid engine. My mechanics at work said that they have not seen any issues with them.
