Ford stopped Super Duty truck order taking of 2022 model year trucks last month on 4/1. They will continue to produce existing orders through December. 2023 model year order banks will open at some later date to be announced later.

I have 3 Super Duty trucks on order with still no build date at this time. I ordered a F-350 SRW Platinum on 12/2, a F-450 Platinum on 1/5 and a F-450 King Ranch on 3/5. Still no vin numbers or production dates on any of the trucks.

With the extremely short supply of in stock 2022 trucks, if you can find one on a lot they are selling for $5,000-$10,000 over MSRP. My trucks were ordered with no deposit and no commitment and we’re ordered 5-10% Below MSRP.

Yup, still no word on mine, ordered 12/24/21...2% below invoice.
I see similar used trucks locally for well over 90k, about 30k more than my order, that's more than 50% mark up for a used truck. WTF

With Ford no longer taking orders and GM issuing a stop sale on Duramax units, the big truck market is really crazy tight right now. Sucks for those of us in the market!

The stop sale by GM on Duramax engines is for the 4500,5500 and 6500. Not for the 2500's or the 3500's.

Business owners who NEED a truck now will drive up prices of available trucks. It’s basic supply and demand. Without a truck they can’t make money. They get to write off the complete price on taxes using section 179 depreciation.

A few months ago the only F-450 I could find was at a local dealer here. They had a 2021 F-450 Lariat with 76,000 miles on it listed for $101,000. The original MSRP was $80,000. That’s $21k over sticker and we’ll out of warranty. It was gone in a week. Crazy times.

That article is click bait. Numerous inaccuracies of facts, too.

Ford routinely stops model year ordering and then reopens for the next model year. The model 2022 retail ended a few weeks ago so you cannot order a '22 MY vehicle. 2023 MY is supposed to open in July, and there's speculation of a redesign.

The truck market is still crazy, yes.

Mine is built, but now in a delivery delay due to rail car shortage. 2022 F350 SRW King ranch ordered Nov 1 2021. Supposed to be delivered next week sometime now. The latest production delays appear to be over spray in bed liner, 5th wheel prep package, and adaptive steering. The blue oval truck forums seem to have the latest information that you can trust. From what I am seeing the 2023 changes will not be major. Remember the Super Duty's have a lot of the same body panels and parts (doors, seats, dash components) as the 150 line. So a big redesign usually follows the F150 by a year.

Engine and drive line will be the same. However as Dodge just up the torque on thier HO to 1075 ft-lbs (25 ft-lbs above ford) you may see Ford tweak the 6.7 ratings. No one comes close on the HP rating of the 6.7 though.

2023 should be a minor refresh. Last redesign was 2017 moving to the aluminum bodies.
