Does anyone use the power cord winder in 2022 310GK?

When sales tech showed me around my new 310GK, he pointed to the Morryde power cord winder/storage mounted on the top of the left storage bay and kind of rolled his eyes. Does anyone use it for their 60 foot heavy/thick power cord. I confess I have not tried it as the cord looks too bulky to fit.
I am thinking about removing it to install an upper level tray/hooks for storing stuff up off the floor.

    Thanks

It works just fine and I used it last year when we were parked in storage, but not this year parked at home since I had a 50amp plug installed, so I'm plugging it in every few weeks for maintenance and to keep the batteries charged. It's easier to just coil it manually and leave it on top of other items in the bay. If you're tight on space, it is handy to keep it up and out of the way. It can be useful, but probably more gimmick than necessary. I'll probably remove mine eventually.

The 50 amp cord that comes with the Solitudes is no where near 60' - more like 25 or 30'. Yes, we use the MORryde power reel all the time and love it. Just try wrestling that 50 amp cord on a 25 degree morning... which I'll wager your "sales tech" has never done.

Must be a common line during demo - we got the same story - doesn't work don't bother. Given some of the other stuff I found lying around - just lazy. I tried it out when we got home (was in the 30s and stiff). Worked fine - had no problem coiling the cord.

I have the Manual version and love it. I stretch the cord out straight, hook it in the reel, and crank away. Takes about 10 seconds to roll the power cord and my back loves it.

The cord on the newest 310GK is 35 feet long. The cord winder works well but it is too big and in the way so I took it out. Wait until you hit your head on it a couple of times. I am thinking about moving it to the front storage compartment. I might use it for the 50 amp extension cord or put the main cord up front once in a while.

    Thanks for the replies,
Yes my 50 amp cord is 36 feet. My cord winder is in the left front storage compartment.
I will try the winder out before next trip. I do like the idea of having the cord up and out of the way.
Embarressed/lazy that I did not try it out before this posting

I really like the power winder although I have whacked my head on it a few times.
