You would be well informed payload wise if you load the truck full of fuel and passengers and gear as you would when hauling and take it to a CAT scale. You will know your true availablepayload number. Don't forget the weight of the hitch.
GM option upped the GVWR on their 2500's to 11,300?. Thats 1,300+lbs more than a typical Ram 2500 of Ford F250. Standard GVWR on Denali's is 10,650. RAWR is 6600lbs.
So 3048lbs for CCC is easily doable.

The weight police will tell you otherwise but just weigh it and look at the tire ratings...they are the weak link most often. If your payload sticker says 3048, then there's no way you'll be over on anything with a 303...and probably not, even if it's not.
Yes agreed. My 2019 3500 Duramax has a 3500 payload, 7050 rawr and 11,500 GVWR

The 3048 payload capacity is right off the sticker on the door. It also has E rated tires.

Yes GM abandoned the gross vehicle cap of 10k for the 2500. I wish Ford and Ram would follow as well.

Did you add airbags to your truck or does it sit pretty level when hitched up without them? How do you like the 303?

I have been very happy with my Silverado 2500HD 6.6 gas. It pulls my 303 RLS very well even in the hills of Tennessee. I think you will love the 5er.

I'm not sure about Ram, but Ford has an "up to" GVWR on their F250 models for 10,800 lbs.

I have pulled my 303RLS to both coasts from Arkansas. We have never had any issues...however the weight police on this forum may get after you for it! Seriously, the updated numbers on your year truck will give you a more realistic payload capacity. My 2012 F-250 SD is limited to 10,000 pounds, so I get an unrealistic capability of the truck. My truck fully loaded with fuel and all my normal "stuff" weighs 7860 on the scales. That limits me to 2140 pin weight to stay under the magic 10k number. I meet that, but I don't normally travel with any water in my tanks. FWIW, my 303 squats my stock spring/shock package about 3 inches.
