Black water tank
We are going to be picking up our Transcend 231rk next week. We are going to take it slow before we jump into taking off for months at a time.
Here is the question. Under normal (not sure what abnormal would be) use how many days would it take to fill the blackwater tank? It would be just the Wife and I. I have a compromised immune system so using the parks facilities is not a thing.

Depends on size and use, but on our 295RL with a 39 gallon black tank, we empty about every 4 days with just the two of us. The greys usually about 3 days.

I think 4 days for 2 older peeps on black is a good est. The grays are the ones that will be more challenging because of : # of showers a day, dishes washed, and amount of bath sink usage. Sometimes one might take a shower after swimming or hiking etc meaning more than one a day. Or, if the CG doesnt have a facility available next to the pool. Have drained greys in 2 days before if we used shower and ate all meals (washed dishes) at trailer. Depends...

When at the RV parks and resorts use their facilities to extend the length. We boondocked on Freeport TX beach and went 4 days/3 nights and still had some room for more. Our fresh water was empty before we needed to flush.

Unfortunately, me using public anything is not an option. I bought the RV because of that. Even buying the camper I stood outside and looked at it. Wife did all the paperwork. So the bathroom will get 100% use.
To put it in perspective since this all started I was sent home and now work from home. I have yet to fill up the two vehicles I drive. I have not stepped into any store. Even Doctor's visits I call from the parking lot and they escort my through a side door into a room they fully sanitized.
So again. Nope on the public bathroom.

Also depends on beer and bake beans consumption. I find those are hard on the black tank. Lol sorry just had too. We would usually go over 5 days on black but only 3 on gray. Then, thanks to a member on here who shared his trick we were able to increase the grey to 5 days by simply dumping our dishwater in the toilet. We already used a plastic tub that's half the size of the sink for doing dishes which creates a double sink and on our model, the bathroom is right beside the kitchen so it's easy transfer. Now I dump both the grey and black every 5 or so days.

Again it has been many years since we camped. We had a tent camper so no tanks at all. Washed dishes outside and dumped on the ground. I have no clue what to expect when it comes to campgrounds. I just have what I read. "Full hookups" have so many different meanings when it comes to each campground. I would think if we are going to do a long stay I should look for one that has the dumps at the individual sites. Not even sure if that is a thing.
