I bought a complete kit . 6k axles, 3k springs, 5 leaf. Up from 2.6k springs and 4 leaf. The disc brake set comes with all the disc hubs, bearings, seals, caliper, disc, caliper mount to axle. Everything in this kit but grease and brake fluid. From performance trailer braking.

I plan to repack the wheel bearings before putting the trailer away at the end of this month. I have a 2019 XLS 17MKE which is equipped with 2 Dexter 3000# axles. Does anyone know where I could find part numbers for replacement axle seals? I would also like to have a couple of spare sets of bearings and races for replacements as needed. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mike

The most reliable way is to get the axle part numbers off the label on the axles themselves, and get the relevant info from Dexter. Most likely a generic seal and bearing kit will work, but if you want to be 100% positive...

When replacing the seals on my boat trailer, I had the part number and took it to napa auto parts. They could not find a reference to the current seals. He told me part numbers on seals change so fast, it's hard to keep up. However, when he had the seals in hand, he quickly found a match in stock at the store. I suspect this might be a common story. Seal sizes in hubs do not vary so much that they are hard to find.

Makes sense. I’ll try to contact them and hopefully they can at least provide the dimensions of the seals, bearings, and races so I can have the parts in hand before I get started. I hate to tear everything apart and then scramble around trying to match things up. Packing wheel bearings is a relatively simple task. Don’t want to make it a whole weekend project! Thanks.

Reached out to Dexter and they provided all the part numbers that I needed. Thanks for the suggestion!
